Update to 1.20!
- The game now loads around 10x faster, and resource packs also load much faster.
- Distant Horizons has been added. This mod allows you to see thousands of blocks over the map without significant lag, and now works with shaders. Please note that if your leaves turn white, the only known fix is a game restart.
- Our plots have been improved. We are now running PlotSquared, which means plots are much more functional – we have the ability to merge plots, clear plots, create default plots, save and import plots as schematics, and so on. The plot world is now running on a separate server, but chat is shared between the two. To get to that world, you now have to type /server plots. To get back to our main map/freebuild/Moria, you have to type /server ardacraft. o Our 1.19 plots world is no longer in use! If you want to transfer your plot over (and you’re not in the build team) you will need to ask a member of the build team to do so.
- Axiom has been added. This is essentially the ‘next generation WorldEdit’ which will make a lot of our work easier in the long term. For now, everyone has access to it on their plots, and only select members of the build team have access to it on the main map. Press Right Shift to go into the edit menu, and look up Axiom tutorials on YouTube (or look at their detailed and clear documentation here) if you’re interested! o Note: Using some of the Axiom tools with shaders turned on will crash you.
- Conquest Reforged has been updated. New rocks! o Granites can now gradient lighter, darker, and into the red granite we use for Redhorn; o A new suite of rough marble textures; o Intermediate limestone between dark and normal; o The sandstones that were previously only in our overlay are in the mod, with two new colourations and some mossy versions.
- Conquest Hearthfire has been added. This adds a large variety of different models and blocks to the game, but we will be prohibiting their use on the map until we figure out which are appropriate for Middle-earth and which will need retexturing or re-modelling.
- Conquest Architects has been added. This is the ‘beam mod’, adding a large variety of new beams with different angles and textures.
- Conquest Medieval Armours and Weapons has been re-added. This adds an array of weapons, armours and shields to the game. Some of these will be re-textured to be more appropriate for Middle-earth!
- We now have a layering tool thanks to Marcel. This will be developed further over the coming months, but expect to see some very cool caves, as well as a guide to the tool.
- The ArdaCraft Overlay is now known as the ArdaCraft Resource Pack. This is because Conquest Reforged now distributes its textures within the mod itself.
- Both Caelum (the night sky mod) and MusicTriggers (the soundtrack mod) have been temporarily removed. This is because their developers were unable to update them on time. However, they will be re-added in a future update!

Caelum
Thanks to Aj, we now have a custom version of the Caelum mod installed. This adds a variety of fantastic features to the skybox, including:
- Accurate positions for the sun and moon, including the sun getting higher in the sky the further south you go in Middle-earth (works with shaders)
- Accurate star map (not working with shaders at the moment)
- Accurate server date when you press G This mod will continue to be updated in the future, including adding planets (Eärendil), and a telescope that will allow you to zoom in and see the names of various celestial bodies in English/Sindarin/Quenya.
PaintBrush
Thanks to Aj, we now have even more functionality for the Paint Brush!
- Added Paint Knife, raises and lowers value of layered blocks.
- Updated paintbrush texture
- Changes made with the paintbrush are pushed to an edit session allowing for undo, redo, masking, and other WorldEdit features.
- Add functionality to modify the brush size of a paintbrush using ctrl + scroll. You can also do

ArdaCraft Overlay
- A few new decorative blocks
- A complete remodel of all round arches to fix lighting bugs for some users when using shaders
- New banded arches
- New reeds
- Brown water in River biome
- New names for many previously added blocks

MusicTriggers
Added new track for Moria’s West-gate (thanks to @Nolram).
NotEnoughCrashes
This will make it so most crashes exit to the title screen instead of quitting the entire game.
Auth Me
This allows you to re-auth your MC account from the multiplayer screen in-game if your login token is invalidated.
Remove Reloading Screen
This removes the loading screen while you're reloading a resource pack so you can still interact with the game while it loads.
Mouse Tweaks
Mouse Tweaks replaces the standard RMB dragging mechanic, adds two new LMB dragging mechanics and an ability to quickly move items with the scroll wheel.
Controlling
Adds the ability to search for keybinds using their name in the KeyBinding menu, this allows players to easily find a key binding in the menu. Adds a button that will only show KeyBindings that conflict with each other, which makes it easier to fix them.
