Version 1.0.2 is here! This is the very first version to branch off from the other two versions, having a 1.19.2-specific fix.
CHANGELOG:
- Fixed crashing due to
ReduxAtlases.SKYROOT_CHEST_MATERIAL
being null - Removed first startup popup screen, I may try to find a less intrusive solution in the future
The Aether: Redux v1.0.1
This is a tiny update, removing some unused sound files that were inflating the file size. Note that after this, 1.19.2 and 1.19.4 are unlikely to be updated as I am shifting focus to 1.20.1.
CHANGELOG:
- Removed a_morning_wish.ogg and approaches.ogg, decreasing the file size from ~50MB to around ~20MB to ~30MB depending on the MC version
THE AETHER: REDUX - UPDATE 1.0!
The Aether: Redux is finally out of beta! This update fixes a few bugs from the previous two pre-releases. It also includes ports to both 1.19.2 and 1.20.1! If you want to see the FULL changelog of this update, including the pre-releases, I suggest you go and look at their changelogs as well (don't worry, there's only two of them so it's not that much): https://modrinth.com/mod/the-aether-redux/changelog

- Fixed ambrosium stacking recipe not copying the original item count
- Slightly altered a few biome parameters
- Made some small tweaks to the texture of the Blightwillow door
- Fixed an incorrect subtitle
- Added default aether biomes to Redux Region

UPDATE 1.0 PRE-RELEASE 2 This is a relatively small pre-release, fixing some bugs and improving some internal systems. It also adds a new mushroom!
CHANGELOG:
- Added a new mushroom, the Aershroom, to the Highfields, replacing the Cloudcap Mushlings that previously spawned there (although they still spawn in their own biome, the Cloudcap Jungle)
- Conversion of the different Aether Grass types is now handled by a more modular system
- Biome parameters (Temperature, Humidity, etc) can now be configured
- Default Aether biomes can now spawn between redux ones

- Switched from Parchement mappings to Sugarcane mappings (has absolutely no impact on the built code)

- Rebalanced the density and rarity of many different worldgen features

Beta.6.2! This is a small update, making various tweaks and improvements to several things, including the newly-added Cloudcap Jungle biome

- Moved Quickroots to the food items creative tab
- Added the Vanilla Swet Spawn Egg to the creative inventory

- Added Potted Springshroom
- Fixed rendering issue with Lightroot Aether Dirt
- Made internal improvements to how bone-mealing the new aether grass types added in the mod works
Beta.6! This update adds a new biome, the Cloudcap Jungle, which will likely be the last new biome for a while, so I can improve on the existing ones.
CHANGELOG:
- Added a new biome, the Cloudcap Jungle, which is a mushroom biome for the Aether
- Added large variants of Cloudcap mushrooms, along with a new, bouncy mushroom called the Springshroom and a large variant
- Added a new Aether Grass variant: Aevelium, essentially Aether Mycelium, which spawns in the Cloudcap Jungle
- Fixed utility blocks not functioning correctly and added them to the vanilla Operator Utilities tab
- Made Blightwillow Saplings two blocks tall
- Added Lightroot Aether Dirt, a new dirt variant that spawns in the Cloudcap Jungle, and grows the new double-block Sprouting Lightroots
- Vanilla double plant blocks now use an alternative joined hitbox (similar to bedrock edition) to be consistent with the hitboxes of the two new double plants. This can be disabled in the config if desired.
- Added two new wood types, Cloudcap for the cloudcap mushrooms, and Springshroom for the springshrooms. Note that Springshroom Stems cannot be stripped into Stripped Springshroom Stems, as there is not meant to be bark or anything similar.
- Adjusted biome spawnrates very slightly
- EVER SO SLIGHTLY adjusted the Cloudcap Mushling texture
- Aether animals can now spawn on Snow Blocks and Coarse Aether Dirt
This is a small, mostly bugfixing update.
CHANGELOG:

- Fixed Highfields Forest not being in the #aether:is_aether biome tag
- Fixed Blightwillow Log Walls existing in the creative inventory and being craftable without the Aether: Genesis installed
Beta.5 is here! This update adds a new biome, the Highfields! It also makes various changes, including adding a new wood system to make adding more wood types to the mod far easier.
CHANGELOG:
- Added a new flowering biome, the Highfields, with two variants: Highfields and Highfields Forest
- Added a new wood type for the Highfields, Prismatic wood
- Prismatic trees come in two variants, Pink and Teal, both of which have leaf particles that fall from the leaves
- Added a new fruit that comes from the leaves of Prismatic Trees, Prismatic Raspberries
- Added a new flower for the Highfields, the Splitbloom
- Added Prismatic Leaf Piles, which spawn in the Highfields Forest
- Added Highfields Flower Patches (may be renamed to Highfields Flowerbeds)
- Added Cloudcap Mushlings, a new mushroom that spawns in the Highfields, and will likely be expanded on in the next update
- [Internal] All wood types now use a new system designed to make adding new wood types far easier. Due to this change, all wood types now have Log Walls (although most are only obtainable when the Aether: Genesis is installed)
- Blightwillow wood now reuses the sounds from Bamboo planks, the leaves reuse the sounds of Azalea leaves, and the saplings reuse the sound of Azaleas.
- Fixed Potted Thorncaps not having a glowing texture
- Removed Sweetblossom petals, the block itself is now edible and enchantable into sugar

- Removed unused Moonbud flower and Moon Bud item
- Fixed frosted flowers not spawning snowy, yet again
- Gilded Skyroot is now called Gilded Oak by default
- Moved ALL mandatory overrides into optional packs
- Tracking Golems can be removed from spawners with the Aether: Genesis enabled (they appear to be very unfinished)
- Removed Glowing Ambrosium Ore (it appears an official addon for this MAY be in development, although I cannot say for sure)
- Added pack for textures (for mainly the mossy/frosted holystones and gummy swets) more in line with the Aether's current textures
- Classic Labyrinth pack has been removed. Sentry blocks/mobs are now blue by default, and can be changed to purple and gray with a new pack, 'Retro Labyrinth'. Ancient Vaults pack is also still avaliable, of course.
- Removed Classic Nature pack, it no longer serves a purpose as the nature overrides are optional
- Removed Classic Valkyries pack, as the lore-accurate Valkyrie textures have been removed. They will likely return in a resource pack in the future.
- Removed Classic Ambrosium pack, as the golden ambrosium textures have been removed. They will likely return in the previously-mentioned future resource pack.
- Removed Improved Cracked Slider pack, as the design was a bit unoriginal. I may revisit this pack in the future.
- Changed Icestone override texture.
- Changed texture of Blocks of Raw Veridium
