[ IMPORTANT ] An appropriate verison of GeckoLib is required because of the custom armor(s).

Magnificent Materials aims to provide Minecraft with new materials such as metals and their alloys while also expanding on the available vanilla materials. In this way, it functions as both an overhaul and as an expansion. Materials are developed and implemented as modules, with each receiving the expected (or imagined) set of features. And further, materials that support armor sets (such as metals or bone) will receive a unique model handcrafted with blockbench. You may be pleased to hear that I have been working on a Samurai set that could be used to make Samurai variants of these armors. I have the helmet/kabuto finished and a lot more ideas ready!

As of version 0.1.3, this mod adds the fictional metal "Mithril." Its properties can be compared to that of diamond — far more enchantable, with lower tool durability and higher armor durability. Its ores are about as rare, having stone, deepslate, and possibly netherrack ores that do generate. It also has tools, armor, and even horse armor.

Currently, the mod is being ported to 1.20.1 for Forge where it will then be expanded upon. I am a lone, amateur dev that needs time to develop modded content instead of porting 24/7 so I have no intentions of porting the mod to Fabric/Quilt/NeoForge on 1.20.1 for now. I'll consider porting to NeoForge in the future.

Feel free to use the mod in whatever modpack you're working on. My mod's modlist entry is credit enough.

Modrinth is open source.
