Even more mod compatibility options!
- added a new Interact hotkey (H by default) as an alternative for sneak interacting
- added a sneak interact blocklist, allowing to disable IndyPets' sneak interact for specific pet types.
This is useful for pets with conflicting sneak interactions like cobblemon, which are on the list by default.
To interact with them, you can whistle or use the Interact hotkey.
If you don't like to use the Interact hotkey, you can of course still use the old way of sneak interacting while holding a specific item (just remember to take them off the blocklist first). - the descriptions of the blocklist and held item config options have been clarified.
- (backport) whistle keybindings don't visually conflict when set to the same key
Pets are now slightly less independent and more loyal as they will try to not stray too far from home.
"Home" is where your pet was last set independent (pets from before this update will use their current position).
To set a new home, simply shift interact your pet twice or whistle + unwhistle.
"Home" has a large radius of about 128 blocks; pets should not stray much further out than this (in comparison: whistle range is 96 blocks).
In Vanilla, pets sit down when their owner logs out.
With this update, pets now will keep roaming around even if their owner is missing!
They will however still sit down if they are currently following you, to prevent them getting lost on your travels.
Whistle range has been increased from 64 to 96 blocks (6 chunks) in each direction, making it much easier to find that cat getting snacks from the neighbors.
A server-side issue of some player configs failing to deserialize has been fixed.
This milestone release reimplements the pet's independence by completely stopping the "follow owner" AI behavior - this e.g. fixes your pets menancingly staring at you from a long distance.
It also changes/fixes the vanilla AI behavior of tamed pets that caused e.g. wolves (but not cats) to stop wandering around if no player was nearby.
Your pets will now do their own thing even if you are not around!
